West Indian Chank Shell is the perfect shell for any home. These shells are primarily found in the Indian Ocean. This shell has large significance in both Hinduism and Buddhism as the word for chank comes from the Indian word shankha- meaning divine conch. These shells have been used as symbols fertility and snakes. These shells have a deep and beautiful history in South Asia.

These shells can be described as white to cream in color. Sometimes they can appear in a more peachy tone. The inside of the shell at its opening is typically a gorgeous sunset pink. The shells have ridges both horizontally and vertically in relation to the shell. They have a very distinct spiral top that comes out of the shell in a cone formation. The shell pictured above is the one that you will receive. This shell is 8" inches long.

You will receive ( 1 ) shell per order.

**All of our shells are real & unique. The majority of the shells we sell are intended for crafting purposes & are not specimens (unless otherwise specified); meaning that most will show evidence of their lives in tum build up, etc. WE DO NOT SELL “PERFECT” SHELLS- our shells are natural, beautiful, & imperfect.
