Trochus niloticus, also known as the topshell or trochus shell, is a large sea snail that lives in tropical reefs in the Indo-Pacific. It can grow up to 15 centimeters in size, with a large, conical shell that's off-white with reddish stripes and a thick inner layer of nacre. Trochus niloticus is the largest species in the Trochidae family of sea snails.
