This is a beautiful selection of the Vintage White Mushroom Coral. These corals strongly resemble the appearance of the bottom of a mushroom. They are sometimes called plate corals due to their shape. Mushroom corals are unique because they are free living as adults (they are not connected to anything like most corals).

Scientific Name: FUNGIA FUNGITES- up until 2015, the Fungia genus had more than 30 species associated with it, but that number has been reduced to just one species
This Mushroom Coral features vintage style with three sizes to choose from. It provides a unique look as well as a natural, organic feel to any home decor. The perfect piece to bring some ocean vibes into your home.

You will receive ( 1 ) coral per order.

Decorating with Sea Shells and Vintage and/or coral is a very HOT Designer Trend. Coastal Styles never go out of season, and even if you don't live by the shoreline- you can display simple small elements of its beauty in any home style. I'm amazed at the amounts of beautiful sea life featured in top decorating magazines, even if it's not a Coastal Trend magazine, most photos contain some type of sea life feature in each photo! From a large shell on a shelf, to an entire room filled with the sea treasures!

We hope you display this coral with pride, coral is a precious resource, and now being treated like costly gems. We DO NOT support, nor sell, any New Specimens. WE ONLY SELL VINTAGE CORAL, and hope you will only buy the same.

These corals were recently acquired from an old shell shop in our area known as Shell World of Texas. The owner & his father were very passionate & knowledgeable about the shell industry. We are super excited to carry on their legacy & seashells in our own shop. Many of the items in this collection have been untouched & in storage since the 80s, some even prior to that.

Due to the vast collection obtained, we are offering these as 'Shop picked' and you will receive one beautiful coral from our inventory, not the exact coral shown in photos. This allows us to save time and offer these treasures at an affordable price.

In the future, we will offer corals as 'select picks' and offer them as the exact shell pictured. Until then, hang on! We're sorting and taking inventory on the overall awesomeness of the latest acquisition.
